That psychic shriek which woke me must have been from all the cognitive dissonance from this speech last night. Never have the principles of IngSoc been so ruthlessly utilized on the planet. But, hey - the week's young.

I hope the Thought Police aren't going to try and force us to believe the contents of this. I cannot even begin to address the lies, misdirection, implications of blame for the Clenis^TM, and overall smarminess of presenting us with such a steaming pile of dren. The only appropriate analogy is to the concept of doublespeak in Orwell's classic. Talking about others abusing the power of the judiciary after appointing a controversial judge by executive fiat the weekend before springs to my mind as the immediate whopper to stand out amongst the multitude of crap in the SOTU. I think Bubba and the rest playing his donating game are going to swell the funds of some worthy causes.

I'm sure there will be a lot of others commenting on it. Please bear in mind the fact that I haven't seen any other comments before posting this. And Koresh help us all...
